This image was taken off the Florida coast, en route to the Bahamas, by a couple who have been cruising aboard their Selene 48, ADAGIO, since departing GIBY last fall. Prior to their voyage south, they visited GIBY with a long service list:
apply protective layers of varnish to the boat’s exterior trim; upgrade the windlass; install a watermaker; fit the boat with a new electronics package – including a new chart plotter, radar, auto pilot, and Wi-Fi booster; install a Stidd helm seat on the flybridge; fabricate new canvas covers; inspect the boat’s fire protection system; service the engine and generator; change out all of the head hoses; and mount a new dinghy davit system on the swim platform/transom.
Reports are…all is in good order, working as planned…and that they’re still proudly flying their GIBY burgee!
