Polly Saltonstall, the editor in chief of Maine Boats, Homes & Harbors wrote a great article about GIBY, detailing all of the work we do for the 220+ boats in our care. It’s titled “A Yard for All Seasons: Great Island builds a reputation for refits and service” and is published in the May 2015 issue.
Give us a call if you’d like a copy of the magazine, which has a few additional pictures by local Maine photographers Alison Langley and Jane Kurko. The cover photo is of our carpenter Matt Meader refurbishing the teak decks on Amelia 4, an Eastbay 54, and the headline reads “Making it in Maine – Ditching corporate life to buy a boatyard, and LOVING IT!” Thanks MBH&H!
