Pedestal modifications have moved beyond the mockup phase. Stainless tubing and piping have been bent and polished, eliminating unnecessary welds, and the compass has been located atop a cylindrical base according to plan. Next, backing plates will be used to secure the newly fabricated fixture to the the cockpit pedestal on the original footprint.
