LEAD OUTBOARD TECHNICIAN

JOB SUMMARY: This is a senior level position that will upgrade our service offerings and lead the growth of our outboard service business. Great Island Boat Yard has not previously serviced large, late technology outboards because we have focused on 30-60 foot inboard diesel vessels. We are acquiring many new customers with large (350 HP) engines powering 30-36’ vessels. At Great Island Boat Yard, we cut no corners. We provide the highest quality service and always follow the manufacturer’s recommendations implicitly. Therefore, to serve this market, we will hire an experienced and certified outboard technician.

SKILLS/ABILITY: Must possess OEM certification(s) for Yamaha and/or Evinrude engines; must have a minimum of five years experience servicing outboard engines; must have good customer presence and communication skills to review repairs with customers; must be well organized and pay excellent attention to details/documentation; and must be hard working and take initiative to stay productive at all times on the job.
