A teak grate for the base of an ice box on a Kanter 54 is being handcrafted by Ben. The piece is half blind and half lap with hand cut dovetails. Though Ben’s workmanship will be hidden from view in this application, the functionality of this skillfully constructed piece – in a moist environment with extreme temps – will be exceptional.
