Our team is refitting an old Island Packet 38, helping new owners ready the vessel for extended cruising to remote locations. Once they set sail, the owners do not intend to visit marinas or busy ports. They plan to seek solitude in hidden coves. To that end, we are updating and expanding the boat’s capacity for carrying water, fuel, and waste. New tanks have been installed and are now being plumbed with all new hoses and fittings. Among other updates, this refit also includes all new running rigging, the addition of an Espar heater, the installation of a new battery, solar, wind inverter-charger system, autopilot, and a new windlass with a high-pressure washdown station.
