Ben is making good use of Maine’s recent rainy days, stripping the toe rails on an Alerion 33. Once the surface is prepped, the rails will be sealed with 10 fresh coats of Epifanes varnish. Refit work on this boat began earlier this fall in the GIBY Paint Bay, when our painters refinished the hull with Awlgrip’s ever popular Flag Blue. In the coming months, the work scope will expand to include the installation of new electronics, a LeisureFurl boom, USB outlets, new port glass, interior and exterior cushions, a new bimini top, a grill mount, and fender clips. The updated instrumentation will feature GPS/radar, autopilot, and AIS.
