We like to celebrate here. Birthdays especially. The tradition is to share some kind of treat together at break time (usually a sweet treat). We’ve had decorative sheet cakes; local donuts from Frosty’s (a Brunswick institution) and potato donuts from The Holy Donut in Portland; cookies, brownies and bars from Wild Oats Bakery & Cafe; build your own ice cream sundaes; and even gluten free desserts from Bam Bam Bakery. One summer we carved a watermelon and filled it with fruit salad for Stephanie, just for fun.
During the holidays, we like to celebrate and decorate. Before some of us take off for vacation between Christmas and New Year’s, we share homemade pies during afternoon break, and the crew takes home the festive poinsettias that were decorating the office. The list goes on – but the “sweetest” part of the deal is that we all enjoy celebrating, together.
